Terms of service
Draft for GSC Searchlight. Effective date: not set. The service operator must review these terms and complete the contact details before public launch.
Operator identity is not configured. The service owner must add the verified legal or business name before these terms can be finalized.
1. Operator and acceptance
Operator name not supplied — owner action required before launch. (the “operator”) provides GSC Searchlight (the “service”). These draft terms are not final until the operator identity, effective date, and applicable governing terms are completed and published.
2. What the service does
The service provides a dashboard and AI-client integrations for reporting on Google Search Console properties that you can access. It may return sample data when configured in demo mode. It is designed for read-only reporting and does not promise particular traffic, ranking, indexing, or business outcomes. Google data may be delayed, incomplete, aggregated, or subject to provider limits.
3. Your account and Google access
You must be authorized to connect the Google account and properties you use with the service. You authorize the service to request the read-only Google permissions shown in the Google consent screen to deliver requested features. In AI Connections, disconnecting Search Console removes the saved connection and property records before asking Google to revoke the grant. A confirmed provider response may take time to take full effect. If Google does not confirm revocation, check Google Account connections to remove or confirm access. Google notes that revocation may remove all scopes previously granted to this project, including scopes used through its other OAuth clients. Signing out of Searchlight only clears the browser session. Signed-in users can request account deletion by typing the confirmation word in AI Connections. Accounts with billing linkage require operator review, and outside trial mode enabled Stripe billing also blocks deletion; it does not cancel Stripe. Browser-local reports and database backup copies are not removed by the deletion request, and no backup deletion schedule is currently defined.
4. AI clients and third-party services
If you connect an AI client, that client may receive the data needed to answer your request and processes it under its own terms and privacy policy. Google, hosting, and payment providers may also process information to provide their services. You are responsible for reviewing their terms and controlling which clients you connect.
5. Acceptable use
Use the service only for lawful purposes and within the permissions and usage limits shown in the product. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, use another person's credentials or data without authorization, disrupt the service, or submit secrets and sensitive personal information that are not needed for Search Console reporting.
6. Availability, plans, and payments
The service may change or be unavailable, and the operator has not published a service-level commitment. Plans and quotas may be displayed in the product. Paid billing is available only when explicitly enabled; any final prices, renewal, cancellation, refund, tax, and payment terms must be displayed and accepted before a purchase. Payment processing is provided by Stripe when enabled.
7. Privacy and changes
The Privacy policy describes the application's current data behavior and unresolved retention/deletion gaps. The operator must complete and review these draft pages before public launch. The published terms should state their effective date and how material changes will be communicated.
